Kayoko Kishimoto was born on December 29, 1960 in Shizuoka Prefecture. Her career in show business began in 1976, when a TV show agent drew attention to her. She then made her debut with a small role in the television series. The next year, Kishimoto began to actively appear in several TV series and TV shows. Shooting in commercials made her a recognizable actress. In 1978, she made her stage debut with the Golden Arrow Award for Best Emerging Theater Actress. Kaiko Kishimoto starred in the comedy series Yohji Yamada, with Shinsuke Shimada and Akira Emoto. With Takeshi Kitano, the actress worked together on the films "Fireworks" and "Kikujiro".
