Born October 1, 1980 - American actress.
As a schoolgirl, she began her career as a voice actress, working on the animated series Daria. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2002 and has appeared extensively in film and television in the following years. Drew made her stage debut in Romeo and Juliet in 2001, and in 2003 landed a role in the Broadway musical Vincent in Brixton. After her role in the movie "Radio" (2003), Drew starred in the TV series "Widower's Love" in 2004-2006. She also appeared in several episodes of Mad Men from 2008-2009, and in addition to that, she was a guest on many other shows, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Private Practice and Castle .
In early 2009, Shonda Rhimes recruited Drew as her pilot for Inside the Box, which was not released as a regular series. This led her to Rhimes recruiting the actress to play Dr. April Kapner in Grey's Anatomy that same year. After appearing in recurring status in the sixth, Drew was inducted into the main cast of the series beginning in the seventh season.
