Charismatic Georgian actor Giuli Chokhonelidze was born in the sunny city of Tbilisi in 1929. Thanks to the frantic talent and attractive appearance, the young artist Giuli easily entered the Tbilisi Theater Institute named after I. Sh. Rustaveli, who graduated in 1951. Also, the artist was lucky to work with the famous director of the USSR - Sergei Gerasimov (Teacher, Old Guard, Quiet Don). Later he started to work at the K. Marjanishvili Theater. The well-known film concern "Georgia-Film", having noticed the talented actor, immediately began to offer Giuli both episodic and leading roles in films. One of the first works of Chokhonelidze was the tragic role of a farm laborer in the sensational film Fatima (later the screening of this film was banned in Turkey). It is also worth noting the balanced and bold role of Bagration in the film War and Peace, it was this titled motion picture that revealed all the facets of the actor's immense talent.
