Born on February 28, 1928 in the city of Tiflis (now Tbilisi). Georgian.
Graduated from the Tbilisi Theater Institute named after A. S. Rustaveli in 1951.
In 1951 he became an actor in the Academic Theater named after I. Sh. Rustaveli in Tbilisi. His first film role was in the 1954 movie Dragonfly .
Died in Tbilisi on the night of October 18, 2011 (according to other sources - October 17 [1]), at the age of 84. Buried in the Didube pantheon
