March 15, 1920, Peret - 1984, Tbilisi - Georgian Soviet film actor.
In 1941 he graduated from the Tbilisi Theater Institute.
In 1938-1941 and 1945-1948 he worked as an actor at the Tbilisi Theater named after Shota Rustaveli, in 1941-1945 at the Kutaisi Theater named after Lado Meskhishvili. From 1948 until his death he worked at the State Academic Drama Theater. Kote Marjanishvili and at the Georgia-Film studio. He is known mainly as a regular performer of the role of Stalin in Soviet historical films (16 times in 1940-1982).
Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR (04/18/1958).
