Gabdulla Shamukov was born in the village of Asanovo, Stavropol district in December 1909. In 1927 he entered the Bashkir College of Arts. At the same time, his first stage debut took place - Gabdulla played a role in the comedy Portfolio. After graduating from college, for the next 16 years he worked at the Bashkir Academic Drama Theater. On its stage, Shamukov performed more than fifty different roles. From 1946 until his death he was an actor of the Tatar Academic Theater named after I. G. Kamala. The most famous roles of Gabdulla Shamukov, played by him on the stage: the holy fool in Boris Godunov, Gabdulla Tukai in the comedy Tukai, Truffaldino in the play The Servant of Two Masters, Lenin in the Man with a Gun, Khlestakov in the Gogol Inspector General, Franz in the Robbers.
In addition, Gabdulla was also teaching - since 1933 he was a teacher at the Ufa Art School. After 13 years, the actor moved to the Kazan Theater School as a teacher of stage speech.
Shamukov was not only a talented actor, but also a writer. He collaborated with the publications "Bashkortostan" and "Yany aul". During the war years he composed children's fairy tale plays, which were then staged in puppet theaters. He also showed himself as a translator - thanks to him, the works of Griboyedov, Pushkin, Gogol, Schiller, Shakespeare, Aeschylus and others were adapted for the Bashkir scene. In 1952, Shamukov received another education - the actor graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology at the Kazan Pedagogical Institute.
Towards the end of his life, Shamukov began acting in films. In 1970 a film was released with Gabdulla Shamukov Treasure, where he played Shavali, Arslan's father.
Gabdulla passed away on December 21, 1981 at the age of 71.
