Born April 26, 1978, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada is a Canadian actress, producer and director of Serbo-Croatian descent.
Katik moved with her family to Aurora, Illinois, USA. After graduating from West Aurora High School in 1996, she attended the University of Toronto and the De Paul University Theater School, known as the Goodman School of Drama, where she studied acting from 2000 to 2004.
In 2008, Katik created her own film company, Sine Timore Productions, which means "No Fear" in Latin.
