Born 1967.
At the age of twenty he enters the art school in Marseille (l'Ecole d'Art de Marseille) in 1991, where he receives a diploma of higher education in plastic expressiveness. Passionate about visual imagery, he made seven short films between 1988 and 1997, as well as several art exhibitions. He has also produced many video clips including IAM MC Solaar and international artists such as The Cranberries and Zucchero. In 1994, Olivier Dahan shows his first full-length film "Brothers", extracted from the collection "All Boys and Girls of Their Ages" of the French channel ARTE and he is selected by the International Film Festival in Berlin. In early 2004, the idea for a film about the life of Edith Piaf comes to him when he is leafing through a book about the famous singer. A feature film was made two years later with Marion Cotillard as Piaf. This film opened the Berlin Festival in 2007 and was dedicated to the outstanding actress and won a BAFTA, " Olivier is always close to music, but this time much closer to his own universe, he is writing and filming the video for the song My Own Love Song (2010) for the film with Renee Zellweger, where she plays a depressed disabled singer supported by a friend (Forest Whitaker).
