Garcia-Lorido was born in Miami, Florida to daughter Maria Victoria "Marivi" Lorido and actor Andy Garcia. She is the eldest of four children, with sisters Daniella, Alessandra and brother Andres. Her parents are both Cuban descent, her father was born in Havana and her mother's parents are from Taramundi, Asturias, Spain. She grew up in Los Angeles and began dancing at the age of three.
Garcia-Lorido's debut was in 2005 The Lost City, a film directed by his father who also starred in it, taking 15 years to enter production. This strengthened Dominique Garcia-Lorido's desire to act professionally as well as work more with her father.
Dominic Garcia-Lorido's acting career continues to flourish with more substantial roles in films of increasing importance. In 2008, she had a role in three films, including the racially charged drama I Am Someone: No Chance in Hell (This), Crime-themed Reflections and La Linea, which features Ray Liotta and Andy Garcia in a story about attempted assassination attempt on a drug thief in law. In 2009, Dominic Garcia-Lorido starred as Vivian Rizzo in City Island, her father's comedy costarring, alongside Emily Mortimer, Julianne Margulis, and Alan Arkin.
