Was born on November 13, 1933 in Lugansk.
In 1960 he graduated from the Music College at the Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky in the class of solo singing (teacher A. Zheleznov) and was sent to work at the Novosibirsk Theater of Musical Comedy, where he performed until 1962, when he joined the troupe of the Rostov Theater of Musical Comedy.
In 1965 he was invited to join the troupe of the Leningrad Musical Comedy Theater. On this stage, the artist played more than forty leading heroic roles, and later age roles, both in classical operettas and modern musical comedies.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1980).
