January 23, 1923 in Akhaltsikhe (Georgia). Armenian Soviet actor and director. People's Artist of Arm. SSR (1967). Chief director of the Theater of Musical Comedy. Paronyan. In Armenia he was given the nickname "The King of Laughter". He died on November 23, 1998 in Yerevan.
