Born May 26, 1927 in Novo-Bayazet (now Gavar, Armenia).
Armenian Soviet director, actor and screenwriter.
Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR (1966).
People's Artist of the USSR (1983) .
Graduated from the drama school at the Armenian Drama Theater named after G. Sundukyan (1947, Yerevan), the directing department of VGIK (1959, workshop of S.A. Gerasimov and T.F. Makarova).
In 1941-1952 he was an actor of the Azizbek District Drama Theater and the Armenian Drama Theater named after G. Sundukyan in Yerevan.
He died on August 30, 1997 in Yerevan.
