Born 20 May 1955, Strajen, South Holland - Dutch film director, actor, painter and photographer.

The beginning of Corbijn's career as a photographer can be roughly called 1972-1973, when, as a teenager, he took his father's camera and went to concerts under the guise of a photographer. Local publications eagerly published his work. Corbijn's first serious work as a photographer was a collaboration with the Dutch pop magazine Oor.

In 1979 Corbijn moved from the Netherlands to London and devoted himself to photography of new British bands (Joy Division, Public Image Ltd, etc.). In 1983, he turned to the genre of the video clip, which became dominant in the work of the photographer. He made the largest number of clips for the British band Depeche Mode, for which, as well as for U2, he also designed records. In addition, he has provided music videos for Front 242, Metallica, Nirvana, Johnny Cash, Brian Adams, Roxette, Coldplay, The Killers and many other bands.

In 2007, Corbijn made his big-screen debut with the biopic Control, about Ian Curtis, frontman of the Joy Division (in 1988 Corbijn shot a video for their song Atmosphere). In parallel, he published a book about the filming of the film.

From March 21 to April 4, 2008, the photographer's exhibition entitled “The Four Dimensions of Anton Corbijn” was held, where he presented more than 170 photographs and personally opened both exhibitions.

In 2010, Corbijn's second film starring George Clooney was released, The American. In 2014, the third film was released - "The Most Dangerous Man".
