Born on July 1, 1925 in the village of Chashki, Vitebsk region, Belarus. In 1942 - 1946 he served in the army. After demobilization, he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages ??named after Maurice Torez and for many years taught English at school and technical school. He worked in the editorial office of the Krokodil magazine. Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR since 1974.
