Born December 29, 1911 (January 11, 1912).
In 1930-1931 he was an actor of the Donbass Theater.
In 1931-1932 he was an actor of the Moscow touring theater of the Red Stadium.
In 1935 he graduated from the State Experimental Theater College at the V.E. Meyerhold and was accepted into the troupe of this theater.
In 1936-1937 - actor of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions Theater.
In 1938-1977 - actor of the Yermolova Theater.
People's Artist of the RSFSR (15.04.1959) .
He passed away on August 19, 1977 in Moscow. He was buried at the Vagankovskoye cemetery of the capital (plot No. 6).
