Born on October 17, 1939 in Kharkov, Ukraine, USSR.

Graduated from the scriptwriting department of VGIK (1965, workshop of I. Manevich).
Before studying at the institute (1958-1959) - a correspondent of the APN and director of the Vorkuta TV studio.
He worked as a television director. He directed a series of TV films about E. Mravinsky, G. Karayan, I. Andronikov.
Then he worked as a production director, art director of the studio for children and youth television films of the creative association "Screen". He directed his best films at the Odessa Film Studio. In the 80s he worked with the American television company CNN.
He currently lives and works in the United States.
