In 1954 he graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of the North Ossetian University. 1960-1964 - studies at VGIK. 1964-1971 - Kiev studio of popular science cinema "Kievnauchfilm", director of documentary films. 1971-1986 - Odessa Film Studio, film director. 1986-1989 - Kiev studio of popular science cinema "Kievnauchfilm", film director, Artistic director and director of the film association "Attraction". 1990-1999 - Military TV studio, television film studio at the publishing house "Business Ukraine", TV channel "Inter". 1999-2006 - studio "Contact" .
From 2008 to the present day - Institute of Screen Arts, artistic director of the course of film and television directing.
Member of the Union of Filmmakers of the USSR and Ukraine
Honored Artist of Ukraine (2000).
