Born April 22, 1933, Sverdlovsk - Soviet and Russian film director, screenwriter.
In 1955 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Ural State University. He worked as an editor and assistant director at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio. Since 1959 - director of the Sverdlovsk television studio, the Sverdlovsk film studio and TSSDF. In 1961 he graduated from the directing department of VGIK (workshop of I.P. Kopalin). Since 1963 - director of the Mosfilm film studio. Staged theatrical performances ("Wedding Day", "Her Friends" Moscow Art Theater named after M. Gorky, etc.).
From 1963 to 2015, all of Uskov's directorial and screenwriting works were performed together with his second cousin Vladimir Krasnopolsky. In 2016, their separate works were presented for the first time.
