In 1969 he graduated from VGIK and became an actor at the Kiev Film Studio named after A.P. Dovzhenko.
In the 1980s, Milyutin starred mainly in episodic roles. After the collapse of the USSR, he practically lost his job. Ukrainian actors were forced to earn in the most unthinkable ways. In 1993, Alexander Nikolaevich's heart could not stand it.
The actor was buried at the Forest Cemetery in Kiev (plot number 82).
