Nikolay Rasheev - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips.
Born in Kiev on April 8, 1935. The son of a Bulgarian political emigrant arrested in 1937.
Graduated from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute (1957), the screenwriting faculty of VGIK (1964, in absentia, workshop of V. Solovyov), VKSR (1966). He was expelled from VGIK during the prohibition of Doctor Zhivago, like many in 1958 - with the accusation of "spiritual brother." Then, using his engineering education, he contracted an adjuster to the north. Traveled it from Tuva, South Sakhalin to Chukotka. He worked as an assistant director at television studios in Kiev and Chisinau, as a director at the Perm television studio, at the Moldova-film studio. Since 1971 - director of the Kiev Film Studio named after A. Dovzhenko.
Honored Artist of Ukraine (2000). Laureate of international competitions.
