Director, screenwriter.
Member of the Great Patriotic War.
Studied at the Moscow Institute of Light Industry (1943-1944). Graduated from the directing department of VGIK (1950, workshop of Grigory Kozintsev). While studying at VGIK, he shot several documentary sketches. In 1951-1955 he was assistant director and second director of the Mosfilm film studio. Since 1955 - director of the Odessa Film Studio. In 1967-1969 he was the artistic director of the Film Actor Studio at the Odessa Film Studio.
