Was born on May 26, 1947 in Odessa. Graduated from the screenwriting department of VGIK (1972, workshop of the documentary film by A. Nikiforov), in absentia.
In 1968 - the head of the amateur film studio of the Odessa House of Officers, in 1969 - the photographer of the Bureau of Technical Information. In 1974 - director of the Kuibyshev newsreel studio, in 1975 - assistant director of this studio. In 1976 - assistant director of the Nizhne-Volga newsreel studio. Since 1976 - director of the Odessa Film Studio.
