Born May 12, 1959, Harlem is an American actor.

In 1983 he graduated from the School of Performing Arts and Juilliard School in New York, then played in theaters, both on Broadway and in less significant ones.

Since the mid-80s, the actor has appeared on television quite a lot, where he played his first notable role - the father of the writer James Baldwin in his autobiographical film "Go Tell the Mountains" (1985). Rhames is best known for playing Vietnamese veterans, especially in the Broadway production of Winter Boys (1985), and films such as War Casualties and Jacob's Ladder.

One of the actor's most famous roles is the role of Marcellus Wallace in Pulp Fiction. He also gained fame for his role as Luther Stickell in the Mission: Impossible film series. In total, he played in over 100 films.

In 1998, after receiving a Golden Globe for his role in Don King: Only in America, he immediately summoned Jack Lemmon, who was also nominated for this award, from the auditorium and handed the statuette to him.
