Born October 23, 1935, Chernivtsi - Soviet and Russian composer, Hungarian by descent.
Graduated from the Chernivtsi School of Music (1957), the Lvov Conservatory (1961) with Adam Soltys, and graduate school at the Moscow Conservatory (1964) with Yuri Shaporin. In 1954-1963 he played the violin in various orchestras, from 1971 he also performed as a lute player (in particular, with the ensemble of soloists "Madrigal" and separately with the Lisitsian sisters), since 1975 as a conductor.
He wrote at least four symphonies, two violin concerts, a number of ballets, including Alice in Wonderland (based on the book of the same name) for choreographer Mai Murdmaa, several operas, including Kupriyanov and Natasha after Alexander Vvedensky. From 1967 he worked in the field of electronic music.
Author of numerous music for animated films, including the film almanacs "Merry Carousel", and Russian fiction films, including the films "Nine Days and All Life" (1979), "Terrorist" (1991), "Ariel" (1992). He also composed music for performances (in particular, the Lenkom Theater, the Moscow Drama Theater on Perovskaya), audiobooks, etc.
