Born May 22, 1951 in Kiev, in the family of the famous Ukrainian poet Pyotr Ivanov.
Graduated from the Kiev State Institute of Theatrical Art named after I.K. Karpenko-Kary (1972).
Since 1972 - actor and director of the Kiev Film Studio named after A.P. Dovzhenko.
Was a freelance advisor on culture to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine.
Honored Artist of Ukraine (1992).
People's Artist of Ukraine (1998) .
In the late 1990s, S.P. Ivanov began a new project on television - a series about the castles of Western Ukraine, but managed to shoot only the first episode.
Sergei Ivanov passed away on the evening of January 15, 2000 in Kiev. The actor was buried at the Baikovo cemetery of the Ukrainian capital.
