She was born on August 28, 1948 in Kiev. Graduated from the Kiev State Institute of Theatrical Art named after I. Karpenko-Kary (1970, workshop of I. Molostova). In 1970-1972. - Actress of the literary theater "Word". In 1973-1991 she was an actress at the Franko National Ukrainian Drama Theater. 1991-1992 - Minister of Culture of Ukraine. 1992-1997 - General Director of the cultural and educational center "Ukrainian House". Author and presenter of television and radio programs: "Good night, children!", "Theater meetings", "Theater at the microphone", etc. Since 2000 - in diplomatic work. She made her film debut at the age of 8 ("Partisan Spark", 1957).
