Sylvie Testu was born in Lyon, France, to an immigrant family from Italy. She received her acting education at the Paris Conservatory. She made her film debut in 1994, and, on a whim, she began filming in Germany. For the film "Beyond Silence" Carolyn Link, where Sylvie Testu played the main role - the daughter of a deaf-mute couple, she was awarded the Lola prize for Best Actress in Germany. In France, the actress gained fame for her big role in the film "Carnival" by Thomas Vincent, which brought her a nomination for "Cesar" as "Actor's Hope."
