Sandrine's ancestors were Polish Jews who emigrated to France in 1933. The actress's father is an accountant and theater author David Decca. After graduating from the Lyceum in Paris, she studied at the Cours Florent acting school (1987-1989) and at the Higher National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts (1989-1992), where she was mentored by Daniel Mesgisch.
Sandrine Quiberlaine made her film debut during her studies, in 1986, starring in the film "Private Lessons" (directed by Pierre Granier-Defer), and in the same year starred in a small role in the film "They Stole Charlie Spencer!"
