Was born in 1958, India in Kerala state in a Syrian Christian family. Sugin's father, a famous neurosurgeon, was invited for an internship in Canada, where the family eventually stayed.
After graduating from high school in Saskatoon, Varujes entered the University of Saskatchewan, where he studied at the medical school, receiving a parallel education in the field of art. Later, the future actor moved to the United States, where he also studied drama.
In addition to acting in theater, cinema and on TV, Sugit is involved in screenwriting and directing. In his free time, Varuhese pays a lot of attention to sports and is the owner of a "black belt" in karate.
Varuhese's television career began in 1981 when he took part in the American Theater show. In the mid-90s, the actor starred in the sensational mystical series Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal. In 2014, the first season of the series "The Strain" was released, in which he starred in one of the secondary roles. One of the last films of Varuhese was the Canadian drama "Remember".
