Born May 2, 1985, Copenhagen, Denmark, better known by her stage name Oh Land, is a Danish singer, actress and producer.
She was a student at the Danish and Swedish Royal Ballets. A spinal injury ended her dancing career and Nanna turned to music. In January 2010, she moved to New York.
Oh Land Fauna's debut album was released in native Denmark on November 10, 2008 via the independent Fake Diamond Records. During the recording of her second eponymous album, she collaborated with producers Dan Carey, Dave McCracken, Lester Mendes and Alexis Smith. The album was released on March 14, 2011 and took the fifth place in the Danish hit parade. It was also the first US release to be released on March 15, 2011 via Epic Records and peaked at # 184 on the Billboard 200. In March of that year, she opened for Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark on their North American tour. and in July and August - at Cie and Katy Perry.
