Born 13 September 1981, Thisted Denmark, real name: Thomas Kato Vitrup is a Danish DJ and producer.
Kato became a DJ in 2005, holding discos in nightclubs, creating remixes of songs by other artists. Since 2008, he began to release his own tracks. His single "Turn the Lights Off", released on January 1, 2010, went platinum and sold 30,000 copies of the single. This is a cover version of the song by Dj Jose, recorded with vocals by John Nurgaard.
On March 1, 2010, he releases his debut album, "Disolized", via Disco Wax Records. The album peaked at # 6 on the Danish Albums Chart.
The second single from the album "Hey Shorty (Yeah Yeah Pt. II)", released on April 26 of the same year, features rappers O $ U and Nurgaard. The song has reached the 2nd place in Tracklisten. It sold 30 thousand copies of the single. The third single "Desert Walk", recorded in collaboration with Outlandish, reached # 4 on the singles chart; sales exceeded 15,000 thousand copies.
On July 15, 2010, Kato signed to the record label Universal Music Group.
On December 27, Kato released the single "Sjus" featuring Ida Corr, Camille Jones and Johnson. The third album "Disolized 2.0", its presentation was to take place in 2011.
In 2007 and 2009, Kato was awarded the Best Danish DJ by DeeJay.
In 2017 he released the single "Show You Love" with Hayley Steinfield and Sigala.
