Born April 22, 1990, better known by the stage name Machine Gun Kelly or MGK, is an American rapper who releases his songs on Bad Boy, Interscope. He took his pseudonym in honor of the famous gangster George "Machine Gun" Kelly. He gained fame after releasing his first four mixtapes: Stamp Of Approval (2006), Homecoming (2008), 100 Words and Running (2010), Lace Up (2010). In 2012, his photo appeared on the cover of XXL magazine. In mid-2011, he signed with Young and Reckless Clothing. On December 14, 2011, he was named the 2011 MTV Hottest Breakthrough MC. On March 18, 2012, he won the MTVu Breaking Woodie award.
