Born February 11, 1972, Coco Beach, Florida, USA is a professional American surfer, actor and producer.
For the first time, Slater got on the board in his early years: after school, and sometimes before classes, he skated on Coco Beach not far from home. Frequent training was not in vain, and by the end of high school he was considered the best surfer on the beach. At 20, Slater won his first world title, becoming the youngest champion in history. After winning numerous titles and becoming 6 times world champion, Slater retired from surfing in 1999. However, in 2002 he returned to professional surfing and became the champion again in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011.
Kelly Slater has taken surfing to new heights by adding new skateboarding style tricks and making surfing a lot more advanced. The American has appeared in numerous surfing films, recorded an album of surfing music, and became the main face of the video game Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer.
