Born 1965 - American playwright, Hollywood screenwriter and film director. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon College of Drama in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Goldenberg wrote and directed the 1996 film Bed of Roses. He co-wrote the film adaptation of Contact and also co-adapted a full-length version of Peter Pan with director PJ Hogan. He also wrote the fifth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) .
Goldenberg was selected to write Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2004 when Steve Cloves, who had adapted the previous four Harry Potter books, turned down a fifth film due to fatigue and interest in other projects. The BBC reported that Goldenberg would later write a futuristic drama for Warner Bros. He also co-wrote the superhero film Green Lantern, rewriting the script for director Martin Campbell. In August 2010, Goldenberg was hired to write the script for Green Lantern II .
On July 29, Disney announced that he would be writing the script for the upcoming Artemis Fowl movie.
