Born January 1, 1978, Canada is a Canadian screenwriter.
Terry Tatchell graduated from Vancouver Film Scripting School for Film and Television in 2001. She began her screenwriting career in 2006 by writing the action short film The Yellow Drug Blossom, directed by her husband Neil Blomkamp.
In 2008 Tatchell co-wrote with Blomkamp for the 2009 sci-fi film District 9, which was released. Since then, her work on District 9 has amassed a large number of nominations, an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay and a Saturn Award.
In 2009, she received the "Ray Bradbury Award" from the American Science Fiction Writers Association for her screenplay.
