February 9, 1909 - December 13, 1986 - Anglo-American actress.
Born in Oxford, she spent her childhood on a farm near Banbury. In 1926, she made her theatrical debut on the stage of Old Vic, after which she participated in a number of theater tours. In 1931, Angel first appeared on the big screen in the film City of Song. In the 1930s and 1940s, the actress starred extensively in Hollywood, where she had roles in the films The Informant (1935), The Three Musketeers (1935), The Last of the Mohicans (1936), Pride and Prejudice "(1940)," Half Sinner "(1940)," Suspicion "(1941) and" Lifeboat "(1944). In the early 1950s, Angel took part in the dubbing of the Disney cartoons "Alice in Wonderland" (1951) and "Peter Pan" (1953). In addition, she had roles on television in the series "Perry Mason", "Peyton Place" and "Family Affair" .
The actress was married three times. Her first two marriages with actors Henry Wilcoxon and Ralph Forbes ended in divorce. Her third husband, television director Robert B. Sinclair, was killed by an intruder in 1970 during a failed house burglary in front of his wife, trying to protect her. Heather Angel herself died of cancer in Santa Barbara in 1986 at the age of 77. She was cremated and buried in the city cemetery next to her husband. Her contributions to the US film industry have been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
