EL Kravchuk is the pseudonym of Andrey Ostapenko, a well-known Ukrainian singer, actor and TV presenter. He was born in the Lithuanian city of Vilnius on March 17, 1977 in an intelligent and highly educated family. Mom was a doctor by profession, and my father was a military scientist, candidate of sciences and teacher. When Andrey was 12 years old, his family changed their place of residence and settled in Kiev. Here the young man received a school education and in 1993 he became a student of two educational institutions at once: the Kiev Glier School of Music, where he studied vocal, and the Dragomanov University, where he studied science at the Faculty of History. The formation of the future singer and actor was strongly influenced by the work of Alexander Vertinsky. The musical start of Andrei Ostapenko took place in the "Singapore" collective during his studies at the school. The situation changed radically when in 1994 the young man took the mysterious pseudonym EL Kravchuk and took up a solo career, which immediately turned out to be very successful.

In 2003, the actor and singer temporarily stopped his solo career and took part in the theatrical production of "Hamlet".
