Born April 24, 1951, New York is an American screenwriter, director, producer, and actor.

Leesberger attended The Hill School in Pottstown. He went on to study to become a school graduate in 1974 at the Museum of Fine Arts.

While visiting the school museum, he and five of his associates formed Lisberger Studios. Their first project was Cosmic Cartoon, which was nominated for a Student Academy Award in 1973.
