Born February 5, 1963 - American producer, director, and screenwriter.
Graduated from Yale University, received a BA in English Literature, and also studied the countries and cultures of East Asia.
After graduation, he worked on film crews for films, music videos, commercials; was an assistant editor, manager, coordinator, assistant director.
Over time, Steven Sheinberg became an independent producer, wrote several scripts.
Later, he attended a directing course at the American Film Institute, during his studies he shot four short films, and he was either a scriptwriter or took part in screenwriting. One of them, "The Prom", caught the attention of Hollywood producers, but scared them off with its bold theme. The film was awarded a number of professional prizes, including the Grand Prix in Houston, opening the way for the young director to “big cinema”.
In 1998, Steven Sheinberg's debut feature film Hit Me was released.
