Born April 12, 1968 - American actress, known for her roles in television sitcoms. Vilar was born and raised in New York, where she began her career with a small role in Crooklyn (1994) opposite Alfrey Woodard, and in 1995 she played a major role in the short-lived sitcom The WB First Time Out. Then she got a regular role in another sitcom of the channel, "The Steve Harvey Show", which she left after one season.
Vilar has appeared in dozens of television shows and films, including Ambulance, NYPD, Strong Medicine, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Girlfriends, Grey's Anatomy, and How to Avoid Punishment for Murder ". She had regular roles in the disastrous series Salvation (TNT, 2006) and Partners (CBS, 2012). Vilar also had minor roles in Good Morning Miami and Doctor House. Outside of television, she has had small roles in the films Double Miscalculation, Planet Ka-Pax and In All Its Glory.
