Born November 10, 1945, Liverpool is an English screenwriter, director, writer and actor.

While there, he wrote the script that would later become the basis for his first autobiographical short, Children (1976). After this "introduction" to filmmaking, Davis goes to the National Film School, where he films Madonna and Child (1980), a continuation of the story of Davis's alter ego, Robert Tucker. Three years later, he concludes the trilogy with Death and Enlightenment (1983), in which he hypothesizes the circumstances of his death. These three works will later participate in various film festivals in Europe and the United States under the name Terence Davis Trilogy. where they receive many awards. Davis, who is gay, often explores gay topics in his films.

Due to funding difficulties and Davis's refusal to compromise, only seven feature films have been released to date. Despite such a modest result, Davis's reputation among critics and film researchers is growing steadily, and he is considered "the greatest living filmmaker in Britain."
