From 1997 to 2002, she starred in the television series Ellie McBeal, for which she received a Golden Globe in 1997, and was also nominated three times for the main television Emmy award. From 2006 to 2011, she played the role of Kitty Walker, daughter of Sally Field's heroine Nora Walker in the television series Brothers and Sisters.
