Graduate of Oklahoma University. I originally wanted to become a teacher. Most famous for his role is the mentally handicapped police officer Benny Stahlwich from Los Angeles Law, which he played from 1987 until the show closed in 1994. For this work he won two Emmy Awards (1988, 1989) and three times nominated for the Golden Globe. He returned to this role in 2002, when the sequel was released - the television movie "Los Angeles Law: The Film" .
