Born August 27, 1988 in Miami, Florida is an American actress and singer.
Alexa made her first film appearance at the age of six in the sports film Little Giants (1994) as the daughter of a character played by Ed O'Neill. In the 1990s, Vega starred in cameo roles in a number of television series and films, such as Ambulance and All This, Nine Months, The Tornado and others.
Alexa's first major role was Carmen Cortez in Robert Rodriguez's fantastic quadrology "Spy Kids". The film became a blockbuster and immediately brought wide popularity to the girl. Vega starred in all four films of the series, she performed all the stunts herself without the participation of stuntmen, and she herself recorded several songs for the film. Since then, Vega has taken up singing professionally. In 2007, she made her stage debut in the Broadway musical Hairspray as Penny Pingleton.
Unlike many child actors whose careers were interrupted in adulthood, Vega continued to actively appear in films and musicals. One of Vega's most striking roles was played in 2008 in the fantastic film musical Ripo! Genetic Opera ”, where Alexa performed the role of the main character, Shiloh, including her vocals.
