Sugababes are a fiery female pop trio from the UK who have achieved Britney Spears' popularity with 27 singles and 7 albums.

Sugababes was formed in 1998 by three teenage girls: Keisha, Matija and Siobhan. Keisha and Matiya have been friends since school, and they met Siwon at one of the parties. Thanks to the performances of the girls, they were noticed by manager Ron Tom. The team is a rather exotic mixture: Jamaican blood flows in Keisha's veins, and Matiya is the daughter of an Irish and Filipino. The name of the group was born from the nickname Keisha, who at school was called "sugar baby".

Almost immediately after the creation of the group, the girls signed a contract with London Records, and the talented producer Cameron McVeigh began working with them. The very first composition of the group Overload hits the top of the British charts and brings Sugababes a nomination for the Brit Awards. The release of the debut album One Touch (2000) strengthened the group's popularity. Siobhan Donahue leaves the group soon after, citing personal reasons. She is replaced by Heidi Reinji, a former member of Atomic Kitten.

Although the popularity of the group grew, but the contract with the famous label was soon terminated, and began cooperation with the record company Island Records. The second album Angels with Dirty Faces (2002), which went three times platinum in the UK and surpassed the one million mark in Europe. The Sugababes win the Brit Awards as Britain's Best Dance Group, and their songs are heard everywhere, including TV, as evidenced by the Sugababes' soundtrack films Powerpuff Girls (2002) and Love Actually (2003).

The band's third album under the symbolic name Three was released in 2003 and expands the band's popularity to the Asian continent. After the release of this album, the girls decide to take a short break to take up their personal lives. Matiya has a daughter, Thalia, and soon, in 2005, the girls again start working on new musical material. But in the same 2005, Matiya left the group, and Amell Berraba came to replace her.

If you don't know much about the work of this group, but want to listen to online Sugababes's best hits, then their collection Overloaded: The Singles Collection (2006) is perfect for that. And although the group broke up in 2013, rumors periodically arise about a new reunion of exotic singers. And we can be ready for new surprises and explosive hits from adorable “sweet babes”.
