Born December 25, 1983, Taipei, Taiwan is a Taiwanese film and television actress.
After high school, she graduated from Tamkan Private University. Then the future actress was able to continue her education in France, entering the Jean Moulin Lyon University in the city of Lyon.
In 2002, Kwai made her big screen debut in Along the Blue Gate Bridge. She got a few more small roles before she gained popularity thanks to one of the main roles in the musical drama The Secret.
For her role in The Informant, Kwai earned her first film nominations for the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards and the China Film Director's Guild Awards. The actress received three more nominations thanks to her role in the film of the famous director Cui Harka "Dragon's Gate".
But Kwai won her first film award in 2012, after her role in the motion picture Girl and Boy. She was honored with the Golden Horse and the Asia Pacific Film Festival Award.
