Born January 17, 1984 in Dumfries, Scotland is a Scottish singer-songwriter, producer, DJ. Received the title of King of Electropop for his debut album I Created Disco, which went gold and contained the Top 10 singles "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls". Calvin also wrote and produced recordings for other artists, including Kylie Minogue and her LP X and British rapper Dizzee Rascal - "Dance With Me". His second studio album, Ready for the Weekend, was released on 17 August 2009 and peaked at # 1 on the UK Album Charts on 23 August.
