The famous Ukrainian singer and actress Maria Evgenievna Karpyuk was born in 1941, in the Chernivtsi region. At the same time, the first film with Maria Mikolaichuk was released - the war drama by Yuri Ilyenko White Bird with a black mark. The actress no longer acted in films, and she agreed to this role solely due to the fact that her husband Ivan appeared among the main characters, whom the woman loved immensely. The tragic story of Les Zvonarev's family was accepted by the audience with a bang, the picture even received the Golden Prize of the Moscow International Film Festival.

As a member of the Golden Keys trio, Maria nevertheless appeared in several films, among her works one can note the films Missing Letter and Maiden's Dreams, but this movie with Maria Mikolaichuk ended.

The artist will devote a large amount of time to her musical career, becoming a real folklore star. And in 1987, due to a serious illness, Ivan died. Later, the singer will devote a whole solo album to her beloved spouse called Farewell, Angel, to You (2006). Two years later, another collection of Mykolaichuk - Bukovino will be released, and in 2009 the singer will release her third, last to date, disc Oh, red Kalinochka.
