Ukrainian pop singer, performs songs in folk style. She was born on October 10, 1947 in the village of Nedilishche, Zhytomyr region. Graduated from the Vocal Studio at the Veryovka Ukrainian Folk Choir (1968) and Kiev State University (1975). People's Artist of Ukraine (1985) .
Matvienko is devoted to the documentaries "Nina Matvienko Sings" (1967), "Mermaid Week" (1990, directed by Natalia Motuzko). Matvienko organizer of the N.M. Matvienko Charitable Foundation.
