Indigo Girls are Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. They met at the playground of an elementary school in Dequetur, Georgia and have been performing together since school. They signed to Epic Records in 1989 and received a Grammy for Best Folk Album that same year (for their self-titled release). Their hits were songs such as "Galileo", "Closer To Fine" and "Shame On You".
